Eh... not too much informative from Robertson...

But the TMS video was really cute! I like how Kairi Hokushou says that you don't really have to be training from a young age to get into Takarazuka... but with how competitive the entrance exams are, I wonder how true that is... I was surprised at how harsh-sounding Hizuki Hana's voice came across at times. She's so cute and fragile looking, but her voice was so strong and fast!

All of the TMS students are so adorable! I love seeing their smiling faces =) Ooh, and bonus for all of the winks included in this video.

Well, Robertson...I don't like her anyway.

But TMS yes... well, it seems that Micchan didn't see her first performance and knew about Takarazuka at all until she took the entrance exams during/after middle school.

And I cannot think of a particular seito at the moment, but I believe some of them started pretty late to learn dancing...

And it was... um... ah, Emao Yuu who did an imitation (instead of dancing or singing) to get in.

Maybe saying this they want to encourage other people to try too, and maybe get some diversity and some differently talented people to spice up the whole group.

Going along with what Kya said, Micchan didn't see her first Takarazuka performance until after she had already passed the first round of the TMS exam.

Moreover, she didn't have that much experience with the performing arts before she tried out either. She took piano lessons, but it wasn't until her homeroom teacher suggested that she apply to Takarazuka (because she's tall) that she considered it. I've read before that often times a not-so-experienced test taker will pass if they show that they have the ability to learn quickly. I think that must have been the case with Micchan.

y'know ... the last part of that promo video where they show clips of the top stars and TMS students, I got this sudden rush of pride. Kinda like ... man, my favourite actresses have come so far! ^__^;;

and er, no comments on the second video ;p

Wow, that was a shiny propaganda video. I want to know where they get their English teachers from!

And I had to snicker when she said that Takarazuka was originally meant to tame women. It backfired gloriously. XD

Ooh, that was the other comment I wanted to make... that English teacher was sketchy looking. I think they could do better... me, for example... lol

Oh Ms. Robertson... we tend to not take her too seriously.

Of course Kobayashi's main interest was to attract customers and make money. :P Which gloriously worked and works, even 90+ years later. XD

You know, she sort of reminds me of the Tragic History of Takarazuka and the P.C. Movement... And she's not the one from Planet Sparkle. ;)

You know that shamisen scene ...

I have a pic of a honkakusei Yumiko playing the shamisen with a very stressed look on her face. It kind of cracks me up whenever I see it. XD
