Mihoko will retire at the end of Me and My Girl.

What makes me particularly sad is that she and Asako don't retire together. :(

(If I remember correctly, people were wondering why no female lead was announced for Gatsby. I guess that's our answer.)

I remember thinking it was weird that "Gatsby" wasn't listed as one of the shows Mihoko would be acting in this year (on the official Star Pages) ...

This year is really full of surprises in Shiny Land. I also hoped that Mihoko would retire together with Asako, and this will happen at least 5 years from now T_T

I'm not familiar with the Great Gatsby, but is there a female lead role in the story? I'm just wondering whether an onnayaku will get the female lead or Kiriyan will fill in, like Asako did for Elisabeth ^^

Well, the original Gatsby story does have a female main character that could be the female lead: Daisy.
But I'm not sure how much liberties hankyu writers will take with the story to fit it to Asako/Tsukigumi/Takarazuka.

I doubt that Kiriyan will be in Gatsby. Between her Me and My Girl run and Gatsby lies only a week.

I didn't expect that Kanami would leave Asako behind. But as a Sky Stage subscriber I sensed something would happen to Mihoko　soon. The channel has suddenly been paying much focused attention to her since January ; a talk with her batchmate Shijo Rui, a one-hour interview on her career, and then they will have another special "Brilliant Dreams" for Mihoko. That's quite unusual and has apparently suggested (IMO) you-know-what.
