I don't have time to think about and be puzzled by the whole ranks vs. kenkyuuka years thingie, I'm just glad it was a promotion, after all.


On the downside that might mean we're not getting to keep her as long we would have if she had been going for kumichou, but hey, whatever she wants and makes her happy makes us happy. <3

I'm so torn between being happy for Yuuhi (because I adore her and was worried that if she was a kumichou-track upperclassman we just wouldn't see as much of her as I'd like) and being sad for Sou (who I have a growning fondness for and has been sanbante for nigh on forever it seems like).

I'm not willing to give up on Sou just yet. :) She's 4 years younger than Yuuhi and 5 years younger than Touko.

*butts in* ;-) I guess Tomu is the only 82nd who's made it all the way to nibante... With Yuuhi out, Ahi will still be sanbante in Tsukigumi... And apart from Chie, nibantes of the other troupes are slightly older. Thus, Sou still has time. :)

If she's on the Touko track I am more than okay with that, since obviously I think Touko proves that siennes are like a fine wine or a nice English cheddar, just ever so much better and more interesting with age.

Unfortunately, that came from the most unreliable journalist. This guy once wrote "The next top otokoyaku succeeding Koju Tatsuki is Ayaki Nao" (that turned out to be Kozuki Wataru) "The next top musumeyaku succeeding Ohtori Rei is Touno Asuka" (...Fuzuki Miyo). And as you can see, in his previous entry he says "Haruno Sumire will continue to perform as a singer." (She NEVER NEVER suggested that in the press conference. I wish she did.) What he writes is always based on speculation and his own expectations, and I have hated the way he messes around with the Zuka fans.

Anyway, we will see. I wish Yuuhi and the new Hanagumi the best of luck.
