Eh, so I *think* them solving the Yuuhi issue by moving her to Hana means we'll keep Yuuhi for a while longer. I was afraid with things being as they were that she'd leave together with Asako.

Best case would have been Yuuhi going for Tsuki kumichou, but that's still not out of the picture. :)

I always thought demotion isn't really an option; so I'm curious to see what will happen, if it's really the demotion it seems to be at first glance.
I'm generally more curious than upset or angry by changes. They're all adults capable of making their own decisions based on the set of options given. And there are always at least two options.

Anyway, a far more fun subject for speculation is HIROMI AS SNOW WHITE. Will she wear a dress? A wig? Will the dress be white and long and fluffy and all princess-y?? ^^ I hope so. <3 XD

Also, squee-inducing clip for Silver Rose Chronicle is up. I LOVE YUMIKO. I need the DVD. Jan. 20th is definitely too late for my comfort. What's taking them so long?


My parents stayed around to watch big parts of Practical Joke with me (I knew they'd like the music :P). They now refer to Mami as "our friend". After that I only showed them revues and by now they know that Komu, Mizu, Yumiko, Kimu, Hamako, Kashi, Rika, Osa, Asako, Kiriyan and Yuuhi are NOT "our friend". XD <3 I love my family.

In TakaWiki news:
I set up a temporary Mami profile here to play around with it until the real thing is back up. I hope Pam and Aya don't mind me using their pictures. If they do, I'll take them down.

When I'm home, I will zip the pages I saved from google page together with an index and post it to takawiki_news. It seems that pages are already disappearing from the cache. :(

Well, they did it to Ahi... and I thought it was weird, because doing something like that kinda makes it look like the overseers screwed up. ^_^;
I have no idea what's going to happen to her, but poor Yuuhi. o_o;

Ah, thank you, the link is fixed now. :)

I don't know what has been going on behind the scenes and what choices she had, so I won't say poor Yuuhi or lucky Yuuhi. I'll trust that she chose what she thought best for herself and I'll just be very selfish and say lucky us, since chances are good that we will get to keep otokoyaku!Yuuhi for now and probably past Asako's xxx.

Ahi I would think was/is young enough for it to be only a temporary demotion with prospects to move upward later on.

Yuuhi is older and doesn't have the time to move down the ladder and up again.

That's true about her knowing best. :) Well, it'll be an interesting new challenge for Yuuhi and Hanagumi, and I'm sure they'll all rise to the occasion. Hana's power structure is rather young anyway. o_o;
As for Ahi, definitely. That seems to be happening now, anyway - with Yuuhi moved, Ahi will be 3ban like she was back in '06. (And I can't say I'm not happy about this. ^_^;) Anyway, my original point is that demotions make it look like the management made a mistake - promoting someone too fast, or not managing the hierarchy well enough in terms of age or strengths. I don't think that's true of Yuuhi, so they must have something else planned for her?

I'm excited! :D Very quietly since everyone else seems traumatized, but excited.
I haven't seen a lot of Kiriyan leads... just Sarani and a couple shinko digests. I'm wondering if there's anything I should look for.

Mmm... I liked "Slapstick" and "Osaka-Zamurai", but to be honest..... I've personally liked her better in her 3bante and 2bante roles.

Slapstick has really good performances from the entire cast, but the plot is a bit wobbly.

Osaka Samurai is really fun and silly, although the Japanese is really hard to understand for Tokyo-ite me since it's all in Kansai-ben.

Itoshiki Hito Yo actually didn't do much for me, but I know there are some people who like it more *shrug*

If you can get a hold of copies of The Energy, I'm a big fan of Kiriyan's lead in the Prisoner of Zenda shinko.

Weeelllll, Yuuhi was never officially nibante, in the sense of parade order, at least. So I don't think it's too shocking. (There have been other 4, 3bante who have been moved to other troupes and then faded away a bit, some then retiring. :/) Once Asa leaves, Yuuhi would be more senior than the next top star, which would be a very unusual situation. If they had moved her, to say, Star Troupe, I think things would be all up in the air crazy, but as it is, unless they break with tradition somehow, I think it's probably safe to say Yuuhi is going to be a beloved upperclassman now, with a lot less limelight.

Then again, she's pretty unique. I'm curious to see what happens. ;)

Then they MUST give Yuuhi no more good roles or Bow Hall leads, give Mihoko and Asako a lame Shinji-written comedy for their eventual retirement, make Kiriyan top of a troupe other than Tsuki, not give Mattsu a Bow Hall lead within the next couple of years and leave her to languish, break up AQUA5 in order to distribute the Yuki talent among other troupes, make the Hoshi performance of The Scarlet Pimpernel the only time that musical ever gets performed at Takarazuka, never do another tour to the U.S., and fold the whole company entirely within the next 10 years.

... There, that should do it for now. I'm sure I missed a lot.
