Originally, the Birds of Prey were only a duo - Black Canary and Oracle (former Batgirl Barbara Gordon), but in the course of time, others joined the team and most recently Canary left to marry some other superhero, because d'oh, married superheroines of course cannot be in the superhero business anymore.
But now it seems like there's a chance of Canary being back. And my OTP being a P again. ^^
Hmm I am intrigued. Is it easy to get a hold of the comic? I'd like to start reading from the beginning. Also, is Helena not a character in these comics?
Helena joins later, long after she showed up in the TV show. Sometimes I wonder if the TV-show would have been more successful if it had kept a little bit closer to the book. For me, Helena will always be an intruder who doesn't belong.
