First I planned to write I have to study and will do it later. Then I remembered making an icon doesn't neccessarily take longer than writing a long comment.
Surprisingly I like the outcome even if it was made in a hurry. Might be because of evil Sou at her best. What remembers me that I finally have to watch Daytime Hustler.
Guh, I have to see that show again. Additional to the general awesomeness of Kashi/Shina, it's especially Sou who makes this show what it is. And the music!! <33 I can't help myself but think how terribly wrong it is that 70s hair suddenly can look so good. It has Amase still in an otokoyaku role!
And the most amazing rockband existing. <3333
...by the way... I think this hair is exactly the same as she has as André. XD
I'm not sure if anyone else would share my excitement, but as far as I as a Kabuki buff concerned, Eritan's Bow Hall show is the most interesting material of all the announcements made today.
Oguri Hangan & Terute Hime go to Takarazuka!! AWWWWWW, UNBELIEVABLE!!! How I love that dark gothic adventure of the young nobleman... **swoon**
Pleash post more about it for the Kabuki challenged faction of the fandom? *puppy dog eyes blinking* Does it have lots and lots of angst, yesh, pleash?
Does it have lots and lots of angst, yesh, pleash? Hehe, you can expect angst going on and on all through the story. The legend of Oguri, developed in the pre-Edo medieval Japan, has been an influential adventure and romance and retold in a wide variety of sources including Kabuki plays.
The story involves a young nobleman called Oguri Hangan who is known for his horsemanship. His bizarre adventures include ; -Seduction! by a serpent disguised as a beautiful woman (and she gets pregnant by Oguri. His parents expel him from home for committing such misconduct) -Romance! with a beautiful princess named Terute (which infuriates her father who then tries to kill Oguri) -Death! by poisoning (then he wanders about in the underworld while Terute is sold into slavery) -Resurrection! as a beastly ugly guy (and Terute tries to help this poor guy without realizing he is actually her husband) -Restoration! of his good looks through the power of love -Reunion! with his beloved princess
Ichika for the serpentine woman, and Sumika for Terute, please.
You are welcome! In Kabuki, Oguri plays are always performed with spectacular staging. I'd anticipate the same for the Takarazuka version.
And one good thing about Oguri is that the story takes place in a pre-Edo-style-chonmage era - you don't have to see 青天 (Aoten = shaved pates) on otokoyaku heads XD

Why don't I have a Sou icon?
What kind of a fan AM I?
Icon unrelated. But I didn't use it in ages, despite the fact that I love it.
