It's hard to believe in the inevitability of shiny when airmail that's supposed to arrive after 7 days still hasn't arrived after 9 weeks. :'(

That's horrible! :-/ Was it registered? If it was (or even if not), you can ask the post office to try to trace it, and maybe it's just lying in a storeroom somewhere...

Sadly, it was uninsured/unregistered.

I *think* this means investigation for uninsured/unregistered mail is not an option. I'm not sure, though. Maybe I'll call their customer service and ask before I trouble the sender.

Actually I think that means that you won't be compensated if it's lost, but they can at least try? Not that the US Post is likely to be very helpful...
